LANCASHIRE WATCH COMPANY History and Watches is the title of a book we published. It is the result of many, many years of painstaking research into written evidence about the company and vast experience of the company’s wide range of watches. The author, John Platt, is a well known member of the pocket watch fraternity who, as a volunteer at National Museums, Liverpool and Prescot Museum, has had access to all the company’s surviving records. He has used these, together with contemporary newspaper reports to produce the definitive account of the Lancashire Watch Company. The Watches section of the book is profusely illustrated with detailed colour photographs.

The former factory building has undergone several different incarnations, including a period of near dereliction, since the LWC’s closure.
